The story
Clown is thrown out with the rubbish. He climbs out and sets off across town to find a home, not just for himself but for the friends he left behind. Five circus artists tell Quentin Blake's beloved picture book with acrobatics, juggling, a lot of falling over and a lot of music, on a round stage in the middle of a heated big top. Told through action and music, so every child in the room can follow it. A world premiere, made with Quentin Blake Studio.

- Two minutes' walk from Walthamstow Central (Victoria line and Overground). About 20 minutes from Oxford Circus, 10 from Stratford.
- Walthamstow bus station is next door.
- Room for pushchairs inside the tent. Baby changing on site.
- Doors open 30 minutes before the show. Loos, coats, everyone seated together.
- Step-free throughout. Two wheelchair spaces at every show, each with a free companion ticket. Book ahead.
- Accessible toilet on site. Heated tent.
- Every performance is semi-relaxed: move, take a break and come back in, with front-of-house support.
- No loud bangs. Haze present. Ear defenders to borrow. Sensory notes and a pre-visit social story available.

- Yes. CLOWN is made for ages 2 and up: 55 minutes, no interval, and told through action and music rather than words, so little ones can follow it. Under-2s go free on a lap.

- Is there a relaxed performance?
- Every performance is semi-relaxed, so you can move, take a break and come back in, with front-of-house support. Dedicated SEND performances: Sunday 13 December (CLOWN 11.30am, Fête du Puck 5pm) and Tuesday 29 December (CLOWN 10.30am, Fête du Puck 5pm).
- Can I bring a buggy?
- Yes. There is room for pushchairs inside the tent, the whole site is step-free and there is baby changing on site.
- Is the tent heated?
- Yes. The big top is heated, so coats come off once you are in.
- Where do I park near Walthamstow Town Square?
- Street parking nearby is limited and the 17&Central car park beside the square can be busy, so we recommend the Victoria line or Overground to Walthamstow Central, two minutes' walk away. Walthamstow bus station is right next door.
- Do I need to know the book?
- No. The story is told through action and music, so everyone can follow it. Copies of Clown are on sale in the tent.
- Is it the same show as Fête du Puck?
- No. CLOWN is the daytime show, made for little ones and everyone who comes with them. Fête du Puck is the afternoon and evening show for all ages.
